Wellington Frame

The silhouette of this classic style was first released all the way back in the 1950s. Since then it had multiple periods of resurgence, in the 80s, late 00s, and again today, making it a truly timeless style.

The Wellington has revolutionized the world of sunglass fashion forever. Some of them are true icons, like the Ray-Ban Wayfarer, or the Oakley Frogskins.

Premium lenses

All Shinzo Tamura frames feature premium polarized TALEX CR39 lenses, handmade in Osaka, Japan. Our light purifying filter technology is designed to block 99% of harmful UV rays and reflective light - helping you keep your eyes healthy and see clearer.

Perfect fit

The non-slip nose-pads are made from skin friendly elastomer, providing the perfect fit. Flexible titanium arms relief pressure, and give Shinzo Tamura frames a distinct and classic style.

Light & durable

Shinzo Tamura frames are perfectly balanced, ultra light, and made from non-aging nylon material, perfect for an active lifestyle. The double-molded frames are flexible, extremely durable, and do not deform.

The hinges are molded into the frame itself and benefit from the flexible and durable properties of the nylon material.

Great lens and great fit!

I have a hard time finding sunglasses with the right bridge placement. These glasses fit perfect and the frame is very light but you can tell they are strong and durable too. The lenses are what will keep be coming back. They cut out glare and brightness but are light enough that they are good in lower light too. They also make color pop. They are my new favorite sunglasses!

High Quality Sunglass

I took some time to research many sunglasses made in Japan. Shinzo Tamura caught my attention early on in my research. Ultimately, I chose this brand and I'm glad I did. #1 My eyes feel protected. #2 It feel fashionable. And #3 it feels comfortable. It hit all three of my needs and so the rest is history. Fantastic job to the maker.

Great pair of glasses

Great lenses and a very responsive sales experience. I would only slightly fault the sturdiness of the frame, as I would like something heavier.

Thanks for your feedback Alexandros!
You are right, our nylon frames feel somewhat different from the typical carbonate frames. The main difference is the weight, which is one of the key ingredients to better wearing comfort. Shinzo Tamura frames are very durbale and flexible. And of course ultralight. Nylon shows also less 'whitening' from UV light than other plastics, which is another reason that we prefer this material.

Perfect Fit

I’ve always struggled to find sunglasses that fit correctly. I was amazed that these fit me perfectly. They are so lightweight you forget you have them on. I love the Topaz color also. The free shipping was a big plus also.
