In Japan, the combination of the classic shape of a Wellington and the soft familiar feel of a Boston is a favorite style called ‘Boslington’. A frame whose design looks familiar yet fresh. Inspired by true classics from Persol or Prada, our Tennoji has large lenses, and an overall soft form-language, combined with a lower bridge.

Slate is a natural gray lens that precisely balances the three primary colors, delivering true-to-life vision with no distortion. Designed for all-around performance, it excels in strong-light conditions, ensuring clarity and comfort in bright environments.

    The non-slip nose-pads are made from skin friendly elastomer, providing the perfect fit. Flexible titanium arms relief pressure, and give Shinzo Tamura frames a distinct and classic style.

    Shinzo Tamura frames are perfectly balanced, ultra light, and made from non-aging nylon material, perfect for an active lifestyle. The double-molded frames are flexible, extremely durable, and do not deform.

    The hinges are molded into the frame itself and benefit from the flexible and durable properties of the nylon material.

    These are my favorite pair of sunglasses I’ve ever had. They do not fall down the bridge of my nose. They are not too tight behind the ears. They don’t fog up. They don’t make you sweat under the nose pieces. The shape looks great on my face, my eyes feel so relaxed when I’m wearing them. I was skeptical because of how light the lenses look, but they are incredible. I love them for the ocean and the beach and any kind of bright outdoor activities. Truly, they are just incredible. I previously wore Smith sunglasses the lenses on these and the comfortability is so much better. Well worth the price. Would highly recommend.

    I came back to purchase my 2nd pair of sunglasses for its great style and fit. Always had difficulty in finding a comfortable fit for a low nose bridge. The styling is such that the glasses do not slip while wearing. I appreciate the polarized lens when driving and the 2nd pair has a lighter colored lens that's still great for early morning or as the sun starts going down. But I have to admit I just loved the style!

    This is my second pair of shinzo tamura sunglasses and as always they do not fail. The glasses fit me perfectly - I am Hapa and have a very small nose bridge. The glasses do not slip at all and that is usually the issue I have when purchasing any kind of glasses at a department store. They are light weight and I absolutely love them. Shinzo Tamura is my go to shop when I am needing a new pair of sunglasses.....thank you so much for creating great sunglasses especially for us Asian folks!

    Like:
    Lenses provide a nice clear view
    Lenses are not too dark for an overcast day
    Light weight and flexibility provide a good, comfortable fit
    Adjustable nose pads don't leave dents in my face and stay put, even when wearing sunscreen
    Tastefully subtle brand logo with a smooth finish on temple arms (I don't like big/loud logos/branding or feeling like a walking billboard)
    Curved temple arms don't squeeze my temples or give me a headache
    Frame shape is flattering

    Dislike:
    White "TALEX" visible on front of lens
    Silicone or rubber-coated tips at end of temple arms pull my hair out of place when I'm taking off the sunglasses. It also seems they don't serve their intended grippy purpose as they don't touch my head during use.
